To support Adobe Express’s ASO efforts, we created a modular system of app preview videos for the App Store and Google Play. These videos needed to clearly communicate product value, align with the Adobe brand, and be easily customizable for ongoing testing. They also needed to feel cohesive with the static screenshots they appeared alongside, creating a seamless visual experience across the app listing.
The Ask
The Adobe Express ASO team provided a list of core features to highlight. Our task was to build short, individual featurettes that could be reordered and recombined into full-length previews. Each version needed to feel unified, follow platform-specific best practices, and support variant testing across regions and devices.
How’d we do it?
We used a mix of existing Adobe Express templates and custom-built designs to create featurettes that matched the product’s visual language. Each one was built using real screen grabs of the app interface, which we animated to bring the experience to life. To localize, we set device language settings to generate UI in the target language, ensuring the previews reflected real in-app content for each market. We then swapped in localized imagery to ensure cultural resonance and clarity. The result was a flexible, testable video system that worked across platforms and global audiences.
