We design App Store and Google Play in-app event creative for Adobe Acrobat that highlights new features and ties them into seasonal or cultural moments. These assets help Acrobat stay visible year-round and feel timely to users around the world.
The Ask
Our team is brought in to design visual assets for Adobe Acrobat’s in-app events featured on the App Store and Google Play. These events are often tied to a seasonal campaign, cultural moment, or the release of a new product feature. Depending on the focus, we develop either static or animated creative that highlights the feature and connects with the theme.
Some campaigns are centered on global events like Back to School, Lunar New Year, Black Friday, IPL, Golden Week, and Book Month. Our role is to make Acrobat feel timely and relevant while showcasing what the app can do.
How’d we do it?
We start with a feature or moment provided by the product team and build a visual story around it. Assets often include illustrated UI mockups combined with seasonal or cultural design elements. In one example we used bold red and gold Lunar New Year graphics alongside a conceptual UI for the Organize tool to show how Acrobat brings order to seasonal chaos.
We also design demo documents that tie directly into the event or feature. For Back to School we created editable permission slips and for Black Friday we used sample receipts to demonstrate key tools in a way that feels both real and relevant.
On the App Store in-app events are shown as time-limited highlights on the app listing and are featured in curated placements. On Google Play LiveOps events appear across surfaces like the Events tab and can be promoted in editorial modules giving us multiple touchpoints to connect with potential users.
Our Impact
These timely creative drops consistently drive strong performance. On average, we see a lift of about 6000 downloads per event, often overlapping with other campaigns. Since there’s almost always an in-app event running, these visuals help keep Acrobat top of mind and highly visible in both stores throughout the year.
